What is IAPP's AI Governance Professional (AIGP) Training & Certification?
The IAPP's Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP) is the most widely recognised AI governance certification. Training covers AI and machine-learning fundamentals, responsible-AI principles, governance frameworks and the global regulatory landscape including the EU AI Act; the body of knowledge was updated to version 2.1 in February 2026.
Lawyers can choose self-paced online training (around $995) or instructor-led and in-person options, and then sit the certification exam (around $649 for members). It is particularly relevant to privacy counsel, compliance officers and lawyers advising on AI deployments.
