What is Oxford (OLTEP)'s AI University Foundations for Legal Professionals?
The Oxford LawTech Education Programme's AI University Foundations course gives legal professionals a firm grasp of the technical, legal and ethical aspects of artificial intelligence over ten weeks. It combines 7.5 hours of asynchronous lectures with 4.5 hours of live sessions and an optional 1.5-hour capstone exercise, all taught by the OLTEP co-founders.
The syllabus covers computer-science fundamentals for lawyers, digital ethics and a detailed treatment of the EU AI Act alongside the regulatory approaches of the US, UK, China, Brazil, South Korea and Japan.
