What is EUI Florence's AI and Law Summer School?
The European University Institute's AI and Law Summer School is a five-day academic programme held each July at Villa Salviati in Florence, co-hosted with the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and sponsored by the University of Bologna's CIRSFID, Groningen, Konstanz, Swansea and the European Academy of Legal Theory.
The syllabus spans expert systems and argumentation, machine learning, legal forecasting, large language models and natural-language processing for law, and AI regulation in practice. It can be attended in person or online. The 2026 edition ran from 6 to 10 July; the 2027 call typically opens in early spring.
